Hello all! So first off, there is something funky going on and some of these pictures are in random order and the captions are all out of whack.  I've spent for what seems like forever trying to straighten it all out and decided to give up.

Anyway, the days are flying by! Maxwell turned 7 weeks yesterday and Griffin turned 16 months last week.  Where has the time gone?! It seems we are always on the move, always something to do that keeps us busy.  Hence, I haven't blogged for a month or longer.

Max is making more sounds and facial expressions as the days go by.  He really kicks his legs and moves.  He has started smiling which melts my heart.  Before we know it, he'll be walking and talking and defending himself from his big brother! Max seems to be a better sleeper than Griffin was when he was a baby, but he seems harder to soothe.  He is doing fairly well through the night, but this momma and daddy will say how they can't wait to sleep through the entire night!

Speaking of, Griffin certainly keeps this household busy! Anyone who has watched him always tells us how busy he is.  Yes, indeed he is! He is always on the go! The other night, Nate was washing his tray off from dinner and I was in the living room feeding Maxwell.  Literally, within seconds, Griffin had climbed up on the dining room table and was swinging the chandelier! The next morning I was doing the same, washing Griffin's tray from breakfast and had let the dog out.  The front door was open, but the storm door was latched shut.  I came out into the living room only to find Griffin on the front porch! We've noticed over the last week he has started to imitate some of our actions and tries to say words.  He now raises the roof, tries to say, "oh brother" and "oh baby." Nate thought he was trying to say "Bailey" tonight on a walk.  He does the sign language for "milk," as well.  He LOVES music and loves to dance.  He's quite the hoot.  Nothing is quiet or boring with Griffin around!

So, how do we keep our heads above water with these 2 boys?! Well, we're not sure on some days, but we are managing! Though it's super crazy having a 16 month old and a 7 week old, we wouldn't trade it for the world.  God sure has blessed us with 2 beautiful, precious boys.

I think that's about all for now...it's about bedtime, hopefully! Thanks for sharing in our journey!

Much love,
Nate, Joy, Griffin, Maxwell, and of course, our dog-Bailey
