I started this post 3 weeks ago and am just now getting back to it! So...Hello family and friends! Summer has ended and we're about to start a new season! In saying that, I'm not just talking about the season, "fall," but the season of adding another member to our family!!! I have 37 weeks down and 3 to go! How crazy is that?! YIKES! Crazy enough I can't think about it too long! One, it overwhelms me, but two, there are 2 little boys that keep me on the go! However, we're all doing well. I must say, my favorite part of the day is in the evenings...our family time together. Often it's pure chaos, but I couldn't imagine life any other way! Griffin is really exploding with his vocabulary and starting to put sentences together. At times, Nate and I look at each other with our mouth hanging to the floor surprised to hear what he had just said to us. It's crazy to think he's 2, but yet how "grown" he seems to be at times. Maxwell is still all smiles though he does have a temper at times! He's getting faster and faster and has repeated some words. He is always saying "hi!" to people, waving his hand with a big smile. I'm winding down with work, but in the hopes of working until October. Nate is as busy as ever at Cooper and then comes home and is busy as ever with maintenance things in our house and our boys!
The boys did start a Mom's Day Out program at a church here in town. It's 4 1/2 hours, one day a week. They are in different classrooms, but have done great. They are clingy when I drop them off, but when I pick them up, the teachers say they were great. Max is in more of a nursery setting. They have lots of toys, but they also do story time and a craft. Griffin's class is structured a bit more and he has story time and a craft, too.
Nate took the boys down to Hocking Hills this weekend for a night with his parents. The boys had a blast and from what I hear were really well behaved. The hiked and roasted marshmallows and stayed in a cabin. Nate has some pictures that I'll post next time!
Anyway, here are a ton of pictures. Enjoy and maybe the next time I update, it will be announcing the birth of baby boy #3?!
Love,
Joy
PS...these pictures got of order and I didn't take the time to rearrange them!
Spent Labor Day with my sister and her family...Landon took all 3 of my boys a ride! and now Griffin knows what a bean field looks like!
Baby belly at 36 weeks
Griffin's first day at Mom's Day Out
This was the best picture I could get of Max...when I was in his classroom, he was clinging onto me, but was fine as soon as I left.
Maxwell sporting his BK crown
Grandma Anderson with cousin, Trevor and Griffin at Caden's birthday party
Max gravitated toward Uncle Matt once he noticed he was scooping ice cream!
Griffin with Cosmo (Matt and Danielle's dog)
Visiting the ducks!
I'm not sure how to caption this picture other than I love Maxwell's face!
Max didn't mind the ducks until he was on the ground...I admit, I'm not fond of them myself!
So...Griffin, our no fear kid...decided to jump on a rock. It all happened in a flash! We were literally standing next to him. He fell into the river and the only part that didn't go under was his face! His hair was even wet! Needless to say, it cut our park trip short!
I had to take a picture of these rocks...He was trying to jump on that first rock that is sitting out in the water and somehow lost his footing and fell all the way into the water, but facing us. Pretty impressive for a 2 year old! I must admit...though he scares me at times with his "no fear" personality, I can deal better with that than if he was a wimpy kid! :)
Griffin playing with his cousin, Trevor
Yes, I'm proud! Take a good look! My best friend and I spent Saturday making freezer meals together for this fall/winter. We had so much fun! We made 10 different recipes! The pumpkin bars and deviled eggs we had that day, but the rest are in the freezer...vegetable soup, chicken noodle soup, chili, chicken tortilla soup, meatloaf, twice baked potatoes, chicken/steak fajitas, and banana bread! We're hoping to do it again before baby #3 makes his debut! And...the best part...we hardly spent any money doing this together!
Last night we had a fall kickoff for our youth group at church...I'm participating in the egg toss...we didn't win, but we did win the previous game where we had to beautify a boy by putting makeup on him. :)
Griff on the sand pile, loving it!
Max stole my sucker and he was very focused on it!
These are 2 of my girls (I'm the leader for the 11th/12th grade girls) who I love dearly!

Griffin and his buddy, Nate (usually we're all chopped liver when Nate is around)
This is my favorite picture from the whole day! Griffin came shooting out of this water slide and plowed into me almost knocking me over. He went completely under water, but got up and went back for some more!
Daddy and Griffin
Griffin and Liz going on the lazy river
I was the camera person the whole day, so this is the only picture with me in it. Max and I were hanging out while Nate and Nate were on the water slides and Griff and Liz were on the lazy river...Max was pretty much toast at this point!
Nate and Nate
And Griffin was pretty much toast at this point!
He had too much fun!
