3 months old and lots of pictures to share!

How crazy it is for Nate and I to know Griffin is 3 months old today! My how our life has changed! It's hard to imagine what life was like before Griffin arrived. Well, in a sense, it's not. We could just run out the door when we wanted to...we could go to bed when we wanted...get up when we wanted to on the weekends...eat dinner together...pull out of the driveway without making 3 trips back to the house...and on and on and on. We sure wouldn't trade these last 3 months for anything! Griffin is an amazing addition to our family and of course, we love him with all that we are! Enjoy the precious pictures! Much love!

Down on the farm!

On Tuesday Griffin and I went to my sister, Kara's house to visit her and her family. As always, we had a fun time on the farm!
PS....I can't figure out how to move the pictures in the right order...we upgraded some things on the computer and now I can't move the pics to where I want them. I'd ask my computer-guru-of-a-husband, but certainly don't want to deter him from vacuuming the house right now! :)

Happy Father's Day!

This year Father's Day had a whole new meaning. Don't me get me wrong...we love our dads, but now that Nathan is a daddy it is even more of a special day! We let Daddy sleep in and then gave him a homemade card and a gift certificate to a nice golf course here. We had lunch out, vegged around the house for a bit, and then visited with Nate's family. Here are pictures from the beginning of our day to the end! Enjoy!

2 month checkup

Well, lil' G turned 2 months old on Monday! He's doing fantastic, Dr. Rioch said! Griffin weighed in at 11lbs. 11oz. and was 23 inches long. Of course, as first time parents, we had lots of questions. We have sleeping through the night mastered, but now we are struggling with naps during the day. You can tell he's exhausted when it's time for him to nap, but he just doesn't want to give up. We've been reading the book, "Baby Wise" and we are really working on the whole sleep, feed, wake routine. All I can say right now is pray for our daytime napping schedule! :)
Here's a picture of him at the doctor's office!
We were able to see our friends, Nathan, Hillary, and Maggie who were visiting from Florida. Hillary and I were roommates and worked together at a coffee shop and Nathan and Nathan were roommates. Maggie was born in January, so this was our first time meeting her! Hillary and I with our lil' loves!
This picture cracks me up as you can see Hillary's hand in action reaching down to save Griffin's arm. :) So sweet!

That's all for now!

Growing

Our lil' peanut will be 8 weeks old on Wednesday! It's funny...everyone thinks he's so small, but to us he is getting so big. Last week he weighed in at 11 pounds. He's growing up! I am happy to report, too that the last 5 nights our big boy slept all through the night! Yay!!! He has been sleeping 8-9 1/2 hours straight! During the daytime, he's become quite the mover and shaker. Today I was able to get a couple quick videos on my phone and camera of him movin' and shakin' all around.

Griffin truly brings so many smiles and laughs to Nate and I. My friend, Hillary said before he was born she was excited for us and how Nate and I would just laugh at Griffin often. It's so true. The things he does melts our hearts. What a precious blessing he is! Thank You, Jesus for blessing Nate and I with such a precious, beautiful, perfect baby!

Here are some new pictures! I also attached 2 short video clips. The first one is him perhaps having a bad dream? Notice the bottom lip! and the second one is of today...he was a busy body! Enjoy! :)

Love,
Joy (Nate and Griffin, too!)

Today I put Griffin down for a nap and crawled into bed myself. As soon as I layed down I heard him fussing, so I went to check on him and this is what I found...thank you for a fist that can pacify! :)
I love this little onesie...so true!
